Twelve-Spotted Skimmer

This is by far the most obliging Twelve-Spotted Skimmer I've ever photographed. They're wary as a rule, and often choose perches well over my head.

Oh, wow, how gorgeous! So that's what those things are called! I see them every year and have never know what they are.
